Basic Robotic Surgery Course
While no extensive prior knowledge of robotic surgery is required, participants are expected to have practiced on a robot simulator for a minimum of 6 hours before registration, acquiring a basic understanding of the robot's functions.
This one-day course introduces participants to the robot console, port placement, docking, and emergency undocking. The training begins with dry lab exercises, including dissection, suturing, and knot techniques. Subsequently, participants practice on a chicken model, focusing on tissue handling, dissection using diathermy, and suturing an anastomosis model.
The course aims to familiarize participants with robot handling and the various techniques necessary for robotic surgeries.
It is recommended that participants undergo a basic robotic surgery course before attending the general robotic surgery course.
Each course accommodates up to two participants.
